SImbudevan - Dhanush next project

Last week director Chimbudevan was in Mumbai talking to UTV bosses. They have given him the green signal for his Dhanush starrer tentatively titled " MAAREESAN .
Maareesan is going to be the actor’s big budget period fantasy entertainer which will cost around Rs 30 Crore!
The film is set in 12th century BC, and Dhanush will be having a new look for the film.
The producers were very impressed by Chimbudevan’s script which he had made with illustrations to emphasise the story.

UTV now fully owned by Walt Disney are thrilled that they would be making a fantasy period entertainer in Tamil for the first time.
Films like Pirates of the Caribbean, one of the most famous franchise films are based on the famous Disneyland attraction. Who can forget Walt Disney comics?
Chimbudevan grew up in his home town of Madurai reading comics, which influenced him to become a cartoonist.
In Maareesan, the Chimbudevan- Dhanush-UTV has a confirmed hit in their hand.
The film will have sets created by Chimbudevan’s ace production designer Muthuraj whose Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam sets was highly acclaimed. Maareesan will have camera by Kathir and music by GV Prakash.
The heroine and the rest of the cast will be decided shortly. The shoot of the big budget Mareesan will start rolling from December.
